This group is for brides and grooms planning or thinking about a destination wedding or honeymoon at an All-Inclusive resort. We love destinations like the Caribbean and Mexico. Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Mexico tend to be the most budget friendly, but we also plan weddings for places like U.S. Virgin Islands and St. Lucia.

What will the cost breakdown look like for me and my guests?Your guest pricing will look like this – Cost of accommodations + transfer + Flights + trip protection if desired. Your pricing as the Wedding Couple will look like this – Cost of accommodations + transfer + Flights + trip protection if desired. + Cost of wedding. Additionally, you can choose to arrange a group excursion for you and your guests or your wedding party.

Do we, the wedding couple, receive any perks when booking a destination wedding?Yes! One of the best things about destination weddings at all- inclusive resorts are the perks! Depending on the resort, the perks are based on how many room nights are booked. Those perks range from free room upgrades, free room nights (you receive the monetary value back), free wedding events like a cocktail hour, 3-hour reception, and even a $1,000 credit for the bride and groom! Perks and concessions are based on a certain number of room nights booked.

What if a guest wants to book on their own?For flexible groups, guests can book on their own but they will miss out on the cost savings and perks the other guests receive. If doing a room block, they could run into additional fees to attend the wedding events, but they will also not be getting support from your travel advisor, and you the couple, will lose out on those room nights that go towards the perks and concessions you may receive. If a guest books at an entirely different hotel they will also need to pay an additional fee for a day pass to the resort. Likely when you add everything up with transportation, financially it wouldn’t make sense. We include this information in the booking link your guests will receive.

Whether it is at the same resort in an upgraded room, the same destination at another dreamy resort, or a different destination to explore with your sweetheart, we would be honored to design your honeymoon for you as well!

Which ceremonies are available Legal, Symbolic, or Religious?Each country has it’s own legal requirements in order for a wedding to be legally recognized. This includes things like blood tests, translated documents, legal officiants, a certain length of stay in destination, etc. which will include higher fees. Then you will have to wait for the legal documents to be sent to you at home and then work with local requirements to have your wedding legally recognized. You will find exact requirements at the destination’s U.S. embassy website and at your local courthouse. Symbolic ceremonies are a much easier process without legal documents required, most couples like to have an intimate courthouse wedding with their closest family members or alone as a couple prior to leaving or in celebration after their Destination Wedding. Religious ceremonies have special needs of their own. Certain resorts in certain destinations ensure that specific venue and officiant requirements are met to be able to perform these ceremonies. Your advisor will guide you to the right resorts for you.

OMG, What if it rains?!You’ve been dreaming of a beach wedding, but what if the weather has other plans? The idea of a rainstorm on your big day is freaking you out. I’ll help you pick the best date with the least chance of rain, and I’ll make sure there’s a solid backup plan in place just in case. We’ll keep the vibe beautiful and chill, no matter what.

What exactly does a Certified Destination Wedding Travel Advisor do?We take the time to listen to your preferences for your dream wedding and guide to the destination and resort is right for you. We help you decide on ceremony and reception locations based on your preferences. We check availability and confirm wedding date and request locations for ceremony, cocktail, and reception. Negotiate group rates and make room requests. Work with your guests to make their travel arrangements, including airport transportation and travel insurance and providing a booking site for them to do so. Communicate with resort management on your behalf should any issues arise. Provide a wedding website if desired. Provide an online guestlist so you know who has booked. Answer questions from your guests about the destination, resort, travel, excursions, weather, etc. Organize group excursion or activities for you and your guests. Design your honeymoon in either the same destination or a different location.

How do you, our travel advisor, get paid?I receive a commission from the resorts for handling the booking. No planning fees here, no cost to you! Rest assured – I don’t work for commission; I work for you. Meaning: commissions do not influence my choices. The most important factor is that you are happy with my recommendations, so in order to have repeat customers, I need to put the customers first. And for what it’s worth, I don’t find differences in commission to be impactful enough to sway my suggestions.

Do my guests have to book flights through our destination wedding travel advisor?No, guests can book flights on their own if they’d like to, especially if they want to use credit card points to do so. They can still book transfers, accommodations, and travel insurance through the booking portal. We will just ask them to send over their flight information in order to confirm their transfer pickup times.
